About the Project

We are a group of musicians studying Historically Informed Performance at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague. Our love for pre-Classical music, and especially for Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, brought us together to create a concert program around his wonderful Double Concerto for Harpsichord and Fortepiano (Wq. 47). The piece is unique of its kind – it is the only one in the concerto repertoire that brings together these two keyboard instruments.

We are presenting a tour with this program in March 2017 in the provinces of South Holland and Utrecht. Our ensemble, consisting of 20 musicians from the Netherlands and abroad, with all sorts of musical backgrounds, works in close collaboration with renowned teachers from the Royal Conservatory.

The Royal Conservatory, Fonds 1818 and the Adriana Jacoba Fonds have generously supported our initiative.
